Africana is international, development aid, non-governmental organization founded in 2014 in the Republic of Croatia with main office in Zagreb. Main office was moved to Songea in the United Republic of Tanzania in 2020 where we continue running several projects in Health, Child Protection and Education sector.
Founder of Humanitarian Association Africana, Matej Skenderović, has been working in international aid sector since 2008. During this period, he worked in the United Republic of Tanzania, Syrian Arab Republic, Republic of Turkey, People’s Republic of China, Republic of South Sudan and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Experience that he gained was mainly in Health and Nutrition, Food Security and Livelihood, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene and Child Protection sector. Matej worked and collaborated with many international aid agencies such as Handicap International [Humanity and Inclusion], Action Against Hunger, UNICEF, International Organization for Migration, International Medical Corps, Norwegian Refugee Council, Danish Refugee Council, Save the Children, Doctors Without Borders, Polish Humanitarian Action etc.
